There are a
number of fine eateries in the area catering for anything from a
light snack to celebrating
that special occasion. Below are links to some which we can
recommend that are both within easy reach of the coach or if you
are out and about.
If you have
stayed at the coach and have found somewhere to eat that you

The Ben Cruachan Inn
- Formally the 'Tight-Line' pub, the newly refurbished Inn is
now once again at the centre of village life in Loch Awe. The
bar/restaurant now welcomes visitors to the Loch Awe area with
their great highland hospitality.

Just above the carriage is the
Loch Awe Hotel,
an impressive Victorian building
catering mainly for coach parties, though visitors and locals
are welcome in the bar and restaurant. Note that the meal
times are fixed so please enquire at the reception desk
beforehand.

Ardanaiseig Hotel
sits on a
peninsula jutting out into Loch Awe and offers a Medaille D'Or
winning restaurant. It has also been voted Scotland's Romantic
Restaurant of the Year 2010, idyllically positioned with views
to the loch |

Cruachan Power Station Cafeteria
overlooks beautiful Loch Awe and is well known for its bird
life. If you are lucky you may see an Osprey, Red Kite or one of
our beautiful Eagles.

Shop & Cafe
serves delicious
smokery salads and sandwiches, really good soups and wonderful

The original
Loch Fyne Oyster Bar
and shop is proud to have been listed in the Good Food Guide
every year since 1985. The menu includes shellfish and smoked
fish along with white fish dishes, Scotch beef steaks and a

Oban

The following restaurants are in Oban:-
Award Winning
Ee-Usk Sea Food Restaurant
and separate Pizzeria (Ee-Usk in phonetic Gaelic means
'Fish') on North Pier, Oban - the restaurant sits on the
water's edge in the very heart of Oban.
Coast Restaurant is
a contemporary restaurant on Oban’s main street. Located next to
the Oban Art Gallery, Coast is within easy walking distance from
the railway station, main esplanade and waterfront.
Bossards
Patisserie is
a small friendly patisserie and coffee shop selling their own
home produced breads, cakes, soups, quiches and delicious
sandwich fillings |
The George Hotel
in Inveraray is a bar and restaurant with a wide
choice of real ales, 100 malt whiskies and an extensive wine
list. The restaurant menu incudes the very best of local West
Highland beef and lamb, seafood and fish from the local fishing
port of Tarbert and Loch Fyne salmon. |

locally sourced, freshly prepared and sensibly priced. They serve breakfast from 8.00am-10.00am. Lunch and
evening meals are available from 12 noon-2.30pm and
6.00pm-8.30pm respectively. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all
available to residents and non-residents alike. Please book to
